Creating value for all
Besides contributing to the wellbeing of 400 million daily consumers, we take a long-term approach to bring value to all our stakeholders – our people, trade partners, suppliers, and the communities in which we operate.
“For us, financial performance does not exclude having a positive impact in the world. Indeed, it’s quite the contrary.”
Wealth of diversity
Success comes through people collaborating, lifting each other up in service of common goals. Just as we know the power of blending in the world of tea, we honor the role of diversity of thinking, ideas and interests to build excellence.
As the global leader in teas and infusions, we have the means and the duty to raise the bar for the whole industry. Our growth must create better opportunities for all. We are committed to improving livelihoods in the tea-growing communities and to protecting natural resources for future generations.
It all starts with our talented people. We are on a journey, and they are in the driving seat. Being part of LIPTON Teas and Infusions isn’t just a chance to work with tea industry super brands. It’s a chance to be in a great place to grow. A place where you feel empowered and get opportunities to enhance your skills and capabilities, where proposals and new ideas are valued, where you can help drive change and make the world healthier, more sustainable and responsible.
We believe it is thanks to our financial performance that we will have a positive social and environmental impact. Creating financial value gives us the ability to reinvest and positively impact people’s lives and the planet. As a strong business, we can promote social equality, improve soil health, support biodiversity and help preserve natural resources. This commitment to a more sustainable and inclusive economic model has the full backing of LIPTON Teas and Infusions’ management and its owners, CVC Capital Partners. We are thankful for the ongoing support of our community of customers, partners and investors, who encourage us to tackle the issues of today and tomorrow.
A committed and collective journey
Since March 2023, we are committed to a path of certifying the whole company as a B Corp, leveraging the expertise developed with our already certified brands, Pukka and T2. Covering the company’s entire social and environmental impact, this certification will help us to continuously promote social and environmental progress, accountability and transparency, transforming the way we work to be a part of the solution and have an impact benefiting all.
We are one of the few global players in teas and infusions that directly employs people at every stage of the botanicals’ journey – from agricultural workers on our tea estates in East Africa, to tea sales assistants.
We have built alliances with a diverse range of researchers, farmers, consumers, NGOs – such as IDH (the Sustainable Trade Initiative), the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), UN Women, the Global Tea Coalition and, more recently, the Consumer Goods Forum and its Collaboration for Healthier Lives platform.
