Job Title: Cycle Planning & Sales Operations Analyst
Location: Karachi Head Office
Job Purpose
The Sales & Cycle Planning Analyst acts as the engine behind sales strategy execution. This role bridges commercial strategy, trade marketing, and field sales execution by translating annual business targets into actionable monthly and quarterly cycle plans.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cycle Planning & Sales Operations
- Translate brand and category strategies into clear, actionable monthly and quarterly Cycle Execution Plans for the field force.
- Build and deploy trade calendars, field targets, and channel-wise promotional priorities in alignment with Trade Marketing and Field Sales teams.
- Monitor target cascade across regions, territories, and routes to ensure alignment with business goals.
2. Analytics, Forecasting & Performance Tracking
- Analyze secondary sales data, distributor inventory levels, and off-take trends to build robust volume and revenue forecasts.
- Track daily/weekly Sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)—including strike rate, effective coverage, drop size, and numeric distribution.
- Build dynamic dashboards and reporting tools to highlight performance gaps and highlight commercial opportunities for Business Unit Heads.
3. Promotional & ROI Analysis
- Evaluate pre- and post-promotional ROI across channels (General Trade, Modern Trade, Key Accounts) to determine scheme effectiveness.
- Monitor trade spend compliance and control budget allocation across territories.
4. Process Optimization & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Supply Chain and Demand Planning to align cycle forecasts with inventory availability, minimizing stock-outs and excess stock.
- Support sales structure and route-to-market (RTM) optimization projects, tracking territory re-alignment and coverage efficiency.
- Facilitate regular commercial reviews (Cycle Meetings / Joint Operations Reviews) with field sales leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Economics, or related fields.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, Cycle Planning, or Commercial Excellence (FMCG / CPG background preferred).
- Technical Skills: Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel (power queries, complex models, data visualization) and BI tools (Power BI); experience with CRM/ERP platforms (e.g. distributor management systems) is a strong plus.
- Competencies: Strong numerical acumen, structured problem-solving, stakeholder management, and ability to translate complex data into business recommendations.
