Role Overview
As FP&A Support Analyst for Egypt, you will support the country finance agenda by delivering accurate planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis. Working closely with the Egypt Finance Business Partner, market leadership, commercial teams, supply chain, and regional finance teams, you will help translate financial data into clear insights that support business decisions, performance delivery, and sustainable value creation.
Key Pillars of the Role
- Planning and Forecasting Support: Support annual budget, rolling forecast, monthly landing, and scenario planning processes for Egypt, ensuring timely and reliable submissions.
- Performance Reporting and Insight: Prepare accurate performance reports, dashboards, variance analysis, and management commentary to explain business drivers and support decision-making.
- Commercial Finance Support: Partner with commercial and marketing teams to track sales, price, mix, trade spend, BMI, profitability, and key operational KPIs.
- Process Discipline and Continuous Improvement: Improve reporting accuracy, simplify planning tools, strengthen data quality, and support standardization across finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budget, monthly forecast, rolling forecast, and landing processes in line with regional finance timelines.
- Maintain planning assumptions, version control, and submission trackers to ensure disciplined governance and timely delivery.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Prepare monthly performance packs, financial bridges, and variance analysis versus forecast, budget, and prior year.
- Prepare recurring reports and dashboards covering P&L lines (revenue, margin, trade spend, BMI, overheads, profitability) and balance sheet/cash metrics (working capital, cash flow).
- Support Monthly Business Review preparation by consolidating inputs, validating data, and preparing clear commentary for market and regional leadership.
- Track risks and opportunities across sales, gross margin, overheads, trade spend, BMI, and cash-related metrics.
Business Partnership & Decision Support
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on price, volume, mix, channel, customer, brand, and SKU performance to explain financial movements and business drivers.
- Support ad-hoc analysis, scenario modelling, and decision support for pricing, promotions, innovation, customer negotiations, and investment choices.
- Provide analytical support for route-to-market decisions as required.
Commercial Finance Support
- Support S&OP finance inputs by validating sales forecasts, demand assumptions, gross margin impacts, and risk/opportunity movements.
- Track customer and channel performance, including sales delivery, trade terms, trade spend utilization, rebate accruals, and promotional effectiveness.
- Support profitability analysis for key customers, channels, brands, and product groups to identify margin improvement opportunities.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Participate as the key user for cash-up tool and identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and standardize recurring reports, trackers, and planning templates.
- Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, complete, timely, and aligned with regional definitions and finance governance standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is a plus.
- 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business analysis, management reporting, or related finance roles; FMCG experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets, identify trends, and explain financial drivers clearly.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with SAP, Power BI, Anaplan, Hyperion, or similar planning/reporting tools is an advantage.
- High attention to detail, strong ownership, and commitment to accuracy, deadlines, and continuous improvement.
- Effective communication skills and confidence working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language capability is an advantage for local stakeholder engagement.
