             Inventory Control Coordinator – 1st shift

Starting pay at $28.15

 

 

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining plant-wide inventory accuracy as well as coordinating material delivery and staging requirements for production trial runs. The successful Inventory Control Coordinator is able to work collaboratively across functional teams, including the Production Team Coordinators/Supervisors and Warehousers to effect proper and efficient inventory management.

 

Responsibilities of the role (list is not all inclusive):

  • Comply with all policies, procedures, safety and sanitation rules  
  • Lead inventory management and accuracy at the Suffolk Plant
  • Understand, initiate, and maintain daily cycle counts, and ensure counts are completed on schedule
  • Balance all inventoried items to include Finish Goods, Packaging Materials, Work in Progress, and Raw Materials
  • Input material goods receipts for inbound materials
  • Schedule/coordinate physical inventories as requested
  • Track and report amount of DMR, Obsolete, Q-Hold material control
  • Interpret data, identify problem, and formulate proper decisions
  • Complete inventory reports dealing with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Lead warehouse teams in performing necessary job duties to support production and customer service
  • Maintain proper 5S throughout warehouse and hold team members accountable when standards are not met
  • Demonstrate ability to identify and implement productivity and inventory control improvements  
  • Track and generate reports for daily/monthly KPI reporting  
  • Encourage teams to develop quality OPL’s on improvements, equipment knowledge, and modifications
  • Ensure training completion for all co-workers in procedures, safe work practices, and machine operations  
  • Assign co-workers to work assignments as needed
  • Attend, participate, and facilitate team meetings, both formal and informal  
  • Excellent organizational, project-coordination, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with all levels and ability to address issues diplomatically
  • Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Represent Logistics in daily FOS and Hand Off Meetings
  • Safely operate a fork truck, stand up lift, and pallet jack to transport materials and goods
  • Safely operate a fork truck and pallet jack to transport flammable liquid materials
  • GR all inbound material receipts and investigate all invoice material issues
  • Record and document trailer inspections
  • Use SAP and RF handhelds
  • Complete all other assigned duties as necessary
  • Must maintain an active forklift license, training will be provided if needed
  • Assist all departments when needed
  • Must achieve qualification level and completion of all training modules associated with assigned equipment
  • Understand Plant KPI requirements and fosters/drives teams to meet those requirements using WCM
