LMS Manager
Role Description
The LMS Manager is responsible for leading the implementation, progression, and daily integration of the Lipton Management System (LMS) continuous improvement techniques across the Suffolk site. This role serves as the site owner for the LMS roadmap, governance, capability building, pillar progression, and loss-elimination system.
The LMS Manager will partner with frontline teams, supervisors, managers, and pillar leaders to identify, prioritize, and eliminate losses across people, process, equipment, materials, and technology. This includes applying cost deployment, loss trees, performance analysis, and structured problem-solving to convert operational losses into clear improvement priorities.
The LMS Manager is responsible for ensuring LMS becomes the way the site does the work, not as a separate program. The role supports each pillar leader in building capability, improving routines, progressing assessments, and translating improvement activity into measurable operational and financial results.
Your key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Suffolk LMS strategy, roadmap, and assessment process.
- Serve as the site owner for LMS governance, pillar progression, standards, routines, and overall program health.
- Teach, coach, and mentor frontline employees, supervisors, managers, and site leaders on LMS methods, tools, and behaviors.
- Partner with pillar leaders to support the implementation and progression of LMS across Safety, Quality, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement, Education & Training, and other site priorities.
- Use loss trees, cost deployment, downtime analysis, waste analysis, and other performance tools to identify and prioritize the largest opportunities for improvement.
- Translate factory losses into clear action plans that improve safety, quality, service, cost, reliability, waste, and employee engagement.
- Support Daily Operational Reviews and other site routines by providing performance analysis, challenge, coaching, and follow-up on improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate cross-functional improvement projects and partner with internal or external resources when needed.
- Ensure process documentation, standards, process flows, checklists, SOPs, centerlines, and machine settings are clearly defined, implemented, and sustained.
- Develop and support manufacturing performance improvement initiatives that optimize cost, eliminate waste, improve OEE, and increase operational flexibility.
- Define and maintain the site leadership cadence required to support LMS deployment, including assessments, pillar reviews, governance meetings, and progress updates.
- Validate improvement impact by linking LMS activities to operational performance, cost savings, loss reduction, and reinvestment opportunities.
- Conduct industrial engineering and operational studies, including workload analysis, changeover studies, mass balance, downtime analysis, maintenance studies, and other performance improvement evaluations.
- Build LMS culture by engaging teams closest to the work, encouraging problem-solving, and helping leaders remove barriers to execution.
