Logistics Assistant Manager
Your Role
The primary purpose of this role is to drive the day-to-day logistic operations for the GDM Asia & Australasia region. The incumbent will be responsible for communications with 3rd Party Logistic services, SAP Operations, and preparations of reporting.
Your Key Tasks
- Transportation planning, generating mandatory freight settlement documents
- Communicating with 3PL: communicating order / truck arrangement /pickup arrival time etc with warehouse supplier and transportation supplier
- Report preparation: cost check
- Customs governance & scope definition (APAC): Analyse broker cost/service structures, define customs clearance scope vs. out-of-scope, and map responsibilities across the clearance process
- Process standardisation & knowledge management: Document and maintain end-to-end local customs processes and support formal setup activities (e.g. PoA, broker system access)
- Operational improvement: Identify process gaps and operational issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitoring of ETA, ETA, OTIF KPIs, escalations of issues for logistic operations to Central Teams
- Warehouse operation supervision
- Execution of non-automatized tasks
- Other ad-hoc related tasks
Skills and Experience
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experienced with SAP/S4 HANA
- Good market knowledge of Logistics Industry and Services
