Your role:

Lipton’s Global Customs team is growing, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to build real expertise in international trade. As a Junior Customs Specialist, you’ll work closely with markets around the world, help keep our customs operations compliant and efficient, and gain hands‑on experience with the full lifecycle of customs management. This is a role where curiosity, accuracy, and a proactive mindset make a real impact.

 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Support the resolution of customs inquiries and disputes by preparing documentation, validating data, and coordinating with brokers and authorities.
  • Contribute to HS classification, ensuring correct and consistent application of the Harmonized System across markets.
  • Assist with verifying Country of Origin, reviewing supplier declarations, and applying rules of origin correctly.
  • Monitor customs broker performance and help ensure alignment with Lipton’s global standards.
  • Support the onboarding of new brokers, helping them understand our internal processes and compliance expectations.
  • Conduct document audits to confirm data accuracy, supporting evidence, and correct duty calculations.
  • Contribute to duty recovery and post-entry correction activities, helping identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Assist in reviewing preferential tariff programs and Free Trade Agreements to identify duty‑saving opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, data summaries, and analyses for global and internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Logistics, Procurement, Planning, Finance, Quality, and global teams to ensure customs requirements are understood and followed.
  • Participate in process improvement and standardization initiatives across regions.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Economics, Law, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customs operations, trade compliance, customs brokerage, or import/export documentation.
  • Solid understanding of customs procedures, international trade flows, and regulatory basics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret regulations, validate data, and spot inconsistencies.
  • High attention to detail and a structured way of working, especially under time pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, reporting).
  • English proficiency at B2 level or above.
  • Communicative level of Polish language
  • Knowledge of HS codes, Incoterms, customs valuation, rules of origin, and ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle is an advantage.
