  • Provide expert guidance to managers on policy, process, and ER best practice.
  •  Maintain highquality ER trackers, logs, and governance documentation.
  • Ensure all ER activity is compliant, timely, and auditready.
  • Support complex cases alongside the Site HRBP, ensuring strong preparation and documentation.
  • Conduct righttowork checks, policy adherence reviews, and compliance audits.
  • Prepare documentation for hearings, consultations, and case reviews.

Operational People Support

  • Prepare employee lifecycle documentation as required.
  • Support onboarding, probation, and exit processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in SuccessFactors and liaise with HR Operations to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Manage general HR queries, escalating to the People Partner or HRBP where appropriate.
  • Support recruitment coordination and preemployment checks during peak periods.
  • Assist with absence management processes, including returntowork meetings and documentation.

Trafford Park Site Support

  • Provide consistent onsite support (2 days per week) to ensure smooth operational delivery.
  • Support the Site HRBP with operational tasks that enable them to focus on leadership partnering and relationshipbuilding.
  • Assist with engagement activities, communications, and local People Plan initiatives.

UKITeam Support

  • Provide operational support to the People Partner across UKI activity, including onboarding, HR queries, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Support policy updates, process improvements, and documentation reviews.
  • Assist with internal communications, engagement events, and culturebuilding activities.
  • Lead on any adhoc projects as required.

What we are looking for:

  • Essential: Strong ER capability
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex ER cases independently (investigations, hearings, outcomes).
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and ER processes.
  • Ability to produce highquality documentation with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable advising managers and challenging where needed.

Additional Requirements

  • Comfortable flexing between administrative tasks, advisory work, and operational partnering.
  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, or unionised environments is beneficial.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work at pace.
  • Confident communicator who can build trust quickly with stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and willing to “get stuck in” — no task too big or too small.
  • Strong IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SuccessFactors experience desirable).

What’s in it for you:

Competitive salary, private medical insurance (BUPA), life insurance, income protection, simply health cash plan, competitive pension scheme, discounted staff shop, access to drink as much tea depending on your tipple PG or PUKKA! We hope you love a brew!
