Your role:

At Lipton Teas & Infusions, we're looking for a commercially minded and analytically driven Senior Manager, Trade Lead to own our end-to-end trade investment agenda.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Excellence, you'll be responsible for managing the company's gross-to-net revenue performance, leading the trade forecast process, driving savings initiatives, and ensuring trade investments deliver profitable growth. You'll partner closely with Commercial, Finance, Customer Operations, and IT teams to optimize trade spending, improve promotional effectiveness, and provide visibility into business performance.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role with significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape how trade investments drive growth across the business.

 

Your key responsibilities:

Lead Trade Investment & Forecasting

  • Own the monthly trade forecasting and gross revenue planning process across customers and brands.
  • Build and maintain the gross-to-net revenue outlook, providing clear visibility into the impact of trade investments on business performance.
  • Challenge assumptions, assess risks and opportunities, and improve forecast accuracy through data-driven insights.

Drive Trade Spend Governance & Financial Control

  • Oversee trade program setup and governance within our TPM platform, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and reporting integrity.
  • Partner with Finance to support accurate trade accruals, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.
  • Investigate and resolve trade deduction issues alongside Finance and Accounts Receivable teams.

Deliver Savings & Commercial Effectiveness

  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve trade efficiency and deliver savings targets.
  • Monitor trade spend performance and ensure savings initiatives are reflected in financial results.
  • Partner with Commercial teams to optimize promotional investments and trade rates.

Improve Promotion Performance

  • Evaluate promotional ROI and measure the effectiveness of trade investments.
  • Identify underperforming promotions and recommend actions to improve profitability.
  • Lead post-promotion reviews and provide actionable insights to commercial leadership.

Own Trade Management Systems

  • Act as the business owner and subject matter expert for the Blacksmith trade management platform.
  • Drive system enhancements, process improvements, and automation opportunities.
  • Maintain strong controls, audit readiness, documentation, and user governance.

 

What we are looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in Trade Management, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Commercial Finance, or a related discipline within a CPG/FMCG environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Trade Promotion Management (TPM) systems, ideally Blacksmith, or comparable platforms such as Exceedra, Vividly, CAS, or SAP TPM.
  • Strong understanding of gross-to-net revenue management, trade investment planning, forecasting, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Experience working with syndicated and POS data sources such as Circana or NIQ.
  • Advanced analytical skills with strong Excel capabilities and experience using ERP, BI, and reporting tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions across Commercial and Finance teams.
