The Supply Chain Lead is responsible for the local go-to-market supply chain of the Tea business in Egypt. This role covers the direct sales market of Egypt with a local SC team covering demand planning, quality and working with logistics (including warehouse) and customer service to deliver KPIs of service levels. In addition, the role is responsible for overseeing supply to the distributors responsible for Algeria and Morocco.

Your Key Tasks:

• Act as the strategic supply chain business partner to the Egypt GM and BU leadership team, aligning supply chain capabilities with market growth objectives
• Own end-to-end supply chain performance for Egypt, delivering target customer service levels at optimal total cost and working capital
• Lead the market S&OP process, driving forecast accuracy, demand-supply balance, and cross-functional alignment across commercial, finance, and operations
• Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and logistics operations to ensure on-shelf availability and on-time-in-full delivery to customers
• Lead COGS management end to end, identifying and executing cost optimisation opportunities across the supply chain in partnership with finance
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks; develop and maintain robust contingency and business continuity plans
• Drive continuous improvement and supply chain transformation initiatives, ensuring effective communication and change management with key stakeholders
• Oversee supply chain operations for distributor markets (Algeria and Morocco), ensuring service consistency and supply reliability
• Champion a culture of quality across the supply chain, ensuring product standards are upheld from source to shelf
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners, managing performance against SLAs and KPIs
• Embed a safety-first culture across all supply chain operations and people
• Lead, develop, and coach the Egypt supply chain team, fostering capability growth and a high-performance culture
• Localise and execute Lipton’s global supply chain strategy within the market, adapting global frameworks to local context

Stakeholder Management and Key Interfaces:

• This role reports to the PAMET Supply Chain Head
• Business partnering the Egypt GM
• Member of the PAMET SCLT

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within FMCG
• FMCG background is a MUST; beverage or tea industry experience is a strong advantage
• Proven track record in end-to-end supply chain leadership including demand planning, logistics, customer service, and quality
• Strong S&OP/IBP experience with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional planning processes
• COGS management and financial acumen; ability to partner with finance on cost and working capital decisions
• Experience leading supply chain transformation and change management initiatives
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making approach
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence senior leadership
• Project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification is a plus
