Warehouse Coordinator – 2nd Shift

Job Grade – F3

Starting pay at $28.15    

 

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and improving warehouse operations, coordinating material delivery and staging requirements, oversight of carrier shipments and scheduling, and directing tasks as required to increase productivity. The successful Warehouse Coordinator must work collaboratively across functional teams, including the Production Team Coordinators/Supervisors and Warehousers to effect proper and efficient warehouse management.

 

Responsibilities of the role (list is not all inclusive):

  • Comply with all policies, procedures, safety and sanitation rules  
  • Lead warehouse coordination including shipping, scheduling, trailer movements, staging, and material flow
  • Assist in inventory management and accuracy at the Suffolk Plant
  • Oversee completion of daily cycle counts and ensure counts are completed and on schedule
  • Schedule and coordinate carrier pick up of finished goods
  • Understand drop lot operations and communicate objectives with yard jockey service
  • Input material goods receipts for inbound materials
  • Oversight of physical inventories as requested
  • Track and report amount of DMR, Obsolete, Q-Hold material
  • Interpret data, identify problems, and formulate proper decisions
  • Complete material reports dealing with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Lead and train warehouse teams in performing necessary job duties to support production and customer service  
  • Maintain proper 5S throughout the warehouse and hold team members accountable when standards are not met
  • Demonstrate ability to identify and implement productivity and inventory control improvements
  • Track and generate reports for daily/monthly KPI reporting, with supervision
  • Encourage teams to develop quality OPL’s on improvements, equipment knowledge, and modifications
  • Ensure training completion for all co-workers in procedures, safe work practices, and machine operations
  • Assign co-workers to work assignments as needed including the scheduling of overtime
  • Attend, participate, and facilitate team meetings, both formal and informal
  • Excellent organizational, project-coordination, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with all levels and ability to address issues diplomatically
  • Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership skills
  • Represent Logistics in daily FOS and Hand Off Meetings
  • Safely operate a fork truck, stand up lift, and pallet jack to transport materials and goods
  • Safely operate a fork truck and pallet jack to transport flammable liquid materials
  • GR all inbound material receipts and investigate all invoice material issues
  • Record and document trailer inspections
  • Use SAP and RF handhelds
  • Complete all other assigned duties as necessary
  • Must maintain an active forklift license, training will be provided if needed
  • Always put Safety first when considering improvement to current/new equipment or process changes          
  • Must achieve qualification level and completion of all training modules associated with assigned equipment
  • Understand Plant KPI requirements and fosters/drives teams to meet those requirements using WCM

 

Physical Requirements

  • Climbing – This involves but is not limited to climbing on and off the fork truck numerous times in addition to climbing stairs to the palletizer and outside to the loading dock
  • Bending /Stooping – Required intermittently throughout the shift, typically during hand palletization and sanitation
  • Lifting/Reaching – Continuous lifting during hand-palletization and occasional throughout shift to perform other duties. The ability to lift 50lbs is required. Reaching both vertically and horizontally will be required

 

Safety/Sanitation Equipment Required

  • Safety glasses
  • Ear plugs (in required areas)
  • Steel Toe Shoes
  • Hair Net
  • Beard Guard (if applicable)
  • Harness and tether/lanyard (if performing work at heights)
  • Gloves when working on hot, sharp, or otherwise hazardous components
  • Electrical Work Specific Uniform and PPE

 

Other Highlights of the role (list is not all inclusive):

  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Prior fork truck and/warehouse experience a plus
