Global Procurement Finance Manager
The Opportunity
We are hiring a Global Procurement Finance Manager to join the Supply Chain Finance team at Lipton Teas & Infusions, based in Amsterdam.
This role sits at the centre of the procurement value agenda. You will own the financial methodology behind material price and inflation, savings delivery, payment terms and addressable spend, acting as the single point of truth for how procurement decisions land in the P&L and in cash.
Working closely with Global Procurement Leadership Team, Supply Chain Finance, Group FP&A, Treasury and the sourcing units, you will translate complex category and supplier data into clear, credible insight for procurement leadership and the wider finance community.
This is a senior business partnering role with strong exposure to the value creation programme and executive stakeholders, designed for someone who enjoys ownership, judgement and constructive challenge.
What You Will Lead
Price and Inflation
Own the financial methodology for measuring inflation, from gross price movements through to the net impact on the P&L
Lead the procurement input into the Business Plan and the Rolling Forecast
Support standard-cost setting, the material price forecast and PPV analysis
Reconcile the forecast with Group FP&A and local controllers so one number is used across the business
Maintain the monthly latest estimate and explain movements versus budget and previous forecast
Savings and Value Creation
Own the savings methodology and ensure it is applied consistently across categories and markets
Independently validate savings before they are built into forecasts
Reconcile savings trackers to actual finance results
Provide finance sign-off on major value initiatives
Payment Terms and Cash
Forecast the procurement impact on cash flow, including the effect of payment term changes
Track, analyse and report weighted average payment terms
Assess early-payment discounts and supplier finance programmes
Coordinate cash forecasts with Treasury, Accounts Payable and Supply Chain Finance
Inventory and Strategic Buying
Partner with procurement and supply chain on inventory targets and forecasts
Quantify the cash and P&L impact of buying and coverage decisions
Financially assess strategic purchases before commitment
Ensure provisioning for obsolete and slow-moving stock is complete and correct
Procurement Performance and Reporting
Review procurement month-end results and explain performance against plan
Maintain a consistent, agreed view of addressable spend
Reconcile spend across ERP, procurement dashboards and Finance
Automate and simplify recurring procurement reporting through MIC tool and other automation, supported by GBS team
Sourcing and Contracts
Join major sourcing projects at business-case stage
Build total cost of ownership models to support award decisions
Approve the financial terms of major contracts
Provide finance governance across the sourcing pipeline
Tools, Automation and Modern Finance
Own and develop the core procurement finance toolkit: the material price forecast tool, the savings actualisation tool and the payment terms forecast tool
Act as a leading user of AI and Power BI within finance workflows, automating variance commentary and recurring reporting
Focus your time on interpretation, challenge and judgement rather than manual data assembly
Who This Suits
Finance professionals who enjoy owning a commercial topic end to end rather than operating in a narrow reporting silo
Individuals who combine technical rigour in costing and inflation with the ability to explain outcomes simply
Profiles who are comfortable challenging procurement and category leaders in a constructive, pragmatic way
People who thrive in a matrixed environment where influence matters more than hierarchy
What You Bring
Solid finance experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment, with clear ownership of material cost, procurement or supply chain finance topics
Strong technical grounding in standard costing, PPV, inflation bridging and savings measurement
Proven track record of business partnering with procurement and operational stakeholders
Advanced Excel modelling, strong Power BI capability and ERP proficiency, ideally SAP
Practical experience using AI tools in finance workflows to improve speed, quality or insight
Ability to build methodology and process from scratch and improve it pragmatically over time
Nice to Have
Experience of a formal value creation or savings programme in a leveraged or private equity backed environment
Exposure to working capital and payment term negotiations alongside Treasury
Experience working across multiple countries, sourcing units or regional finance structures
Ways of Working
This role is based in Amsterdam and operates in a matrixed model with Global Procurement, Global Business Services and the sourcing units. To support onboarding, stakeholder relationships and team integration, a minimum of four days per week in the office is expected during the first six months. Longer-term flexibility will be discussed once the role is fully embedded.
How to Proceed
If this opportunity reflects your experience and interests, we encourage you to apply. You are also welcome to share this role with individuals in your network who may be well suited to a senior, high-impact role within Finance at Lipton Teas & Infusions.
