MU Quality Lead, APAC
Your Role
The MU Quality Lead, APAC supports quality management across the Asia Pacific region and reports to the Global Head of Quality. Working within the country Supply Chain organization, the role partners with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain quality standards, ensure compliance, manage complaints, support development activities, and provide quality reporting. The role also drives quality excellence across regional operations, including Third-Party Manufacturers (3PMs), repacking, warehousing, logistics, and customer support, while ensuring Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory compliance, managing certifications, supporting careline activities, and leading incident management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Key Task
- Monitors and reports regional quality performance – and works with the relevant functions/units to initiate improvement where needed.
- Play an active role in Marketplace Product Incident management.
- Provides expertise and support in Quality management for resolution of Quality issues in re-packers, third party manufactures (3PMs), promotions, suppliers, customers, logistic partners and distributors.
- Proposes mechanisms and processes to monitor conformance to global quality standards & requirements of Third Party Manufacturers (3PMs), Third Party Logistics providers (3PLs), repackers and Distributors.
- Leads or support external certification audits (incl. at 3PMs).
- Lead and input to answer Regulatory/ Authorities requests.
- Lead the approval of Supplier, 3PM, 3PL, Re-packer and Distributor within the region from Quality aspect.
- Provide quality input/ assessment for any import / export activities and development project.
- Interface with key customer and act as first point of contact with key customer on quality matters.
- Interface with careline agent and act as first point of contact on quality complaint.
Stakeholder Management and key interfaces:
- Extended team member of Country Supply Chain leadership in the country.
- Local authorities
- External certification bodies
Skills and Experience
- University degree in general sciences or technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 year of relevant experience in Quality roles at local/regional level.
- Quality expertise in Operations and/or Go to Market.
- Depth of experience within Food as minimum, expertise in Tea is a plus.
- Cross functional and multi-stakeholders influencing.
- Ability to work independent in a virtual environment.
- Proven and recognized achievements in risk and change management
- Excellent organization skill and collaboration skill.
- Critical thinking.
- High level of energy.
- Digital savviness.
- Fluent in English (Mandarin is an advantage)
- Exposure to Safety/ Security knowledge aspect is an advantage.
- Limited travel may be required.
