Main Purpose:
To drive with SSHE Manager for implementation of plant safety, health & environment agenda by incorporating system development and process implementation whilst ensuring compliance to all local laws and Lipton Teas and infusions standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections to validate the site compliance to safety and environmental standards.
- Conduct a daily review of reported hazards and assign appropriate corrective actions to address them.
- Attend daily operation meetings to discuss ongoing activities and performance updates.
- Supervise and train safety officers and champions to ensure consistent implementation of safety and environmental procedures across all shifts and departments
- Lead safety and environmental improvement projects and initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-functional safety meetings and communicate critical findings to senior management for decision making.
- Support investigations of reported hazards and incidents, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Review the department’s compiled monthly performance report and present the analysed outcomes in the monthly forum.
- Conduct training sessions for employees to ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
- Drive risk assessments and risk predictions for the site activities based on the model area selection ensuring proactive hazard identification and mitigation plans are in place.
- Organize annual fire and emergency drills, communicate the observations to the emergency response team, and prepare detailed reports.
- Maintain an up-to-date documented records such as inspection reports, certifications, trainings, and monthly safety and environmental audits trackers.
- Check the execution of work carried out by contractors on time-to-time basis to verify the PTW and LOTO compliance.
- Develop SOPs, SSWs and checklists for SSHE department.
- Assist in Safety and Environmental management systems implementation as per ISO 45001:2018 and ISO14001:2018 standards.
Experience
- Diploma of Associate Engineering or Graduation
- Computer knowledge (Microsoft office)
- Ability to develop and analyse data and extract meaningful results and actions
- Awareness of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO14001:2018 standards
Skills & other requirements
- 2-4 years of work experience in the safety industry
- Good knowledge of Manufacturing and Process Safety
- Food safety knowledge
- Strong influencing and communication skills
- Good observation and auditing skills
- Ability and experience to the lead the team across site
- NEBOSH IGC (Preferred)
