Job Title: Trade Engagement Analyst

Position Purpose

The Trade Engagement Analyst plays a key role in designing, executing, and evaluating trade promotional strategies, channel engagement programs, and retailer loyalty schemes. This position sits at the intersection of Trade Marketing, Sales Ops, and Analytics. Translating market data into actionable retail engagement models that drive volume, ROI, and in-store execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trade Program Analytics & ROI Tracking: Evaluate the effectiveness of trade promotions, incentive schemes, and retailer loyalty programs. Track ROI, volume lift, and incremental margin across trade channels.
  • Channel & Retailer Engagement Strategy: Support the development of trade engagement initiatives tailored to modern trade, traditional trade, and key distributor accounts.
  • Trade Spend Optimization: Monitor and analyze overall trade marketing expenditure, identifying efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities without compromising channel coverage.
  • Market & Execution Insights: Track competitor trade activities, dealer margins, and channel promotions. Synthesize sell-in/sell-out data to recommend optimal promotion mechanics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Field Sales, Key Account Managers, and Brand Marketing to align trade initiatives with overall brand and commercial goals.
  • Performance Dashboards & Reporting: Maintain routine trade performance dashboards, supplying commercial leadership with accurate channel tracking and campaign scorecards.
  • POSM & Merchandising Vendor Management: Lead end-to-end management of POSM and merchandising vendors. Oversee vendor selection, briefing, costing approvals, quality control, production timelines, and on-time field deployment.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in sales ops, include channel marketing and trade category experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, modeling) and data visualization tools (Power BI). Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/CRM systems is a plus.
  • Data-driven mindset, strong commercial acumen, analytical problem-solving, and effective stakeholder communication.
